Flagstaff Aquaplex

The $16.6 million Flagstaff Aquaplex is a 51,441 square foot aquatics and multi-generational center for the City of Flagstaff, Arizona. The Aquaplex features a 8,643 square foot pool area with a leisure pool, lazy river with vortex, three-lane lap pool, child splash area, and two body slides that exit and re-enter the building. The facility also includes a multi-activity gymnasium, a two-story rock climbing wall, a running track, fitness and aerobics rooms, locker rooms, private changing cabanas, multi-purpose rooms, and babysitting and soft play areas for children and toddlers. Sustainable design elements, including dark-sky compliant light fixtures, motion detectors, and automatic lighting shut offs, were integrated throughout. Reese Hackman provided all electrical, lighting, audio/visual, and telecommunications systems design services for the aquatics center.
